Time is money – every installer knows that. The E4 is engineered to shorten the installation process as much as possible. Its surface-mount design removes the need for wall chasing or installing recessed boxes.
Simply screw the thermostat base directly onto the wall and connect the wires. The compact housing — just 80 × 80 mm with a depth of 23 mm — keeps the device slim and elegant. It’s a major time-saver, especially valuable during renovations and quick installations in new buildings.
Standard thermostats rely on mechanical relays, which produce a noticeable “click” every time the heating switches on or off. In a quiet bedroom or a child’s room, that sound can be extremely annoying.
The E4 solves this problem at its root. It uses a TRIAC output — a semiconductor switching element with no moving parts. It operates completely silently. For the end user, this means much higher comfort: the heating system works quietly in the background, without disturbing the home environment. Silent switching is a premium feature that anyone who values peace and quiet will appreciate.
Underfloor heating has high thermal inertia — it heats up slowly and cools down slowly. A basic hysteresis thermostat (on/off control) often leads to overshooting the set temperature or unnecessary cooling.
The E4 includes advanced, dedicated control algorithms, including TPI UFH (Time Proportional and Integral for Underfloor Heating). The controller “learns” the thermal characteristics of the room and, instead of working in long cycles, it intelligently pulses heat in short intervals. This keeps the temperature stable without fluctuations.
The result? A perfectly warm floor, steady room comfort, and real energy savings — no overheating.
In addition to TPI UFH, the thermostat also offers algorithms for radiators (TPI RAD), electric heating (TPI ELE), and classic hysteresis (adjustable ±0.1…±2.0°C), making it flexible for all types of heating systems.
Modern homes increasingly use systems that can heat in winter and cool in summer — for example, heat pumps. The E4 is fully prepared for that.
It features a 230V “CO” (Heat/Cool Changeover) input that automatically switches operating modes. When the central controller applies 230V to the CO terminal, the thermostat switches from heating logic to cooling logic.
Crucially for installers, the CO input is resistant to inductive interference. Long cables run parallel to power lines often generate induced voltage, causing false mode changes. In the E4, this problem has been eliminated, ensuring stable operation even in large installations.
The E4 offers not only precise control but also intelligent protection for both the installation and the user’s budget.
NSB (Night Set Back):
Allows an easy, central temperature reduction at night (or when the building is empty) by a defined value (0.5–5°C). It’s a simple way to save energy automatically, without programming each thermostat individually.
Protective VP and ANTISTOP functions:
The controller takes care of the installation even outside the heating season. It periodically activates the pump (ANTISTOP) and the valve actuators (VP) to prevent them from seizing. A simple function that can save thousands in potential repairs after the summer break.
Despite its advanced internal logic, the E4 is simple to operate. The clear LCD simultaneously displays the measured and set temperature. Weekly schedules can be programmed directly on the device.
For added control, the E4 includes a PIN lock for the buttons. This is ideal for children’s rooms, offices, hotels, and guest houses — preventing unauthorized changes and helping maintain stable heating costs.
The E4 thermostat offers the perfect balance of modern technology and essential reliability. It’s designed for users who require silence (TRIAC), precision (TPI algorithms), and stability (230V power, wired operation).
For installers, it guarantees fast surface-mount installation, straightforward configuration, and resistance to interference.
