Modern underfloor heating components
Innovative solutions ensure comfort in everyday life in homes and other buildings. The underfloor heating components available from Engo Controls provide precise measurement and the ability to control temperature via wired or wireless systems. Modern water-based underfloor heating systems are becoming increasingly popular and can be used in a wide variety of buildings. Wired installation is easiest for new builds, but older properties can also be modernised to incorporate smart heating solutions.
Building a house? Opt for underfloor heating
The wide range of options available makes underfloor heating an excellent solution for users who value comfort, efficiency and cost savings. The ability to control the system easily and precisely, and to tailor specific settings to your needs, guarantees thermal comfort in every room.

When should you decide to install a water-based underfloor heating system? Ideally, during the planning stage of building your home. Importantly, this should be specified in the plans well in advance, as various factors – such as the floor area of the rooms and the size of the windows – affect the system’s optimal performance. This type of installation consists of a network of pipes laid beneath the floor in such a way that the temperature is distributed evenly throughout every part of the building.

The correct operation of the finished system will be ensured by the controllers, sensors, trim strips and actuators available in our range. These components control the operation of the underfloor heating. Why choose this type of solution? Because it offers many benefits, such as comfort, operational efficiency and cost savings. System components that are properly tailored to your requirements and preferences guarantee efficient operation and convenient use.
How does underfloor heating work? How do you control it?
A well-designed underfloor heating system is an innovative, energy-efficient and high-performance solution that will satisfy even the most demanding users. Pipes are laid beneath the floor surface; these are responsible for heating the floor and are supplied by a boiler or a heat pump. A properly installed system ensures that heat is distributed evenly throughout every part of the room. There is no doubt that this is a key advantage of this system, setting it apart from radiator-based heating.

Of course, the process of reaching the desired temperature requires the use of suitable components, which is why high-quality controllers, sensors and other accessories are available to you. When correctly configured, these controllers ensure that the desired temperature is set quickly, smoothly and precisely. This is why it is so important to install underfloor heating correctly. This refers not only to the layout of the pipework, but also to the convenient positioning of the controller or sensor.

Automatic heating control is the best option. Programming a specific heat level prompts the system to operate in a way that ensures the required temperature is reached. If the temperature falls below the selected value, the controller detects this and sends a signal to the heating appliance (e.g. a boiler), which then begins to operate at a higher output. It is also possible to set operating schedules for the system so that the temperature is adjusted to suit different circumstances. An example? When the household is away, the underfloor heating system can operate economically, and increases its heating output when the occupants return home.
Wired or wireless
When planning the installation of underfloor heating, it is worth bearing in mind that the system can be controlled in various ways – both via a wired and a wireless connection. In the first case, controllers are available that connect directly to the heating appliance. This is one way of managing a water-based underfloor heating system. Wireless solutions, on the other hand, guarantee convenient installation – without any wiring. Internet-enabled controllers connect to the system via a ZigBee gateway or using a Wi-Fi network. This is undoubtedly a modern, tried-and-tested, functional and convenient option for temperature control.

The controllers are powered either by batteries or via the standard mains supply (230 V). The Engo Controls range includes both surface-mounted and flush-mounted controllers. The former use rechargeable batteries, whilst the latter rely on mains power for proper operation. This makes it easy to adapt the controller to the preferences of a specific interior, and there is no need to worry about colour matching, as both white and black versions are available.
Optimal operating schedule
In the case of underfloor heating – just as with other systems, such as radiator heating, air conditioning and lighting – it is possible to programme the operation so that the system functions in a specific way at selected times. An efficient underfloor heating system is activated at a specific time either when triggered remotely or when the temperature reading indicates that it is too low in relation to the set threshold. Planning operating scenarios for the system is a very convenient solution. Modern controllers allow you to programme an optimal schedule, which guarantees user comfort, as well as contributing to a sense of well-being and generating savings.
Functional underfloor heating, even in a modern flat
Everyone needs thermal comfort. It is therefore worth noting that the heating system components featured in our range are perfectly suited to both new and older houses, as well as flats. As with detached houses, in multi-family buildings too, it is best to install a water-based underfloor heating system during the construction phase. There is no doubt that underfloor heating in a developer-built flat is an excellent feature and works well in both smaller and larger spaces. It ensures an even temperature, making it a particularly useful option in rooms such as the living room or bathroom, especially when the floor is tiled. With the heating system installed beneath them, you can be sure your feet will never be cold, and efficient, precise temperature control methods guarantee the desired effect at all times.
